“This is the first time I ever wrote a review. I thought I've got to say what I feel about this facility that I truly admire. Not only every single staff...”

“My spouse and I had a horrifying customer service experience at this Home Care Assistance office in Valencia, CA. I accompanied my spouse to a job fair they were hosting from 10 am to 4 pm. The day prior he had received a voicemail from someone in Chicago who had organized the event — I’m assuming the event manager. The voicemail stated he was confirmed to attend Home Care Assistance’s job fair and they were excited to meet him. When we arrived at the job fair, which was hosted at their Valencia location, no one greeted us. The sign on the window said “Job Fair 10 am to 4 pm” so we were rather perplexed by the disdain and apathy we saw when we entered. They displayed a total lack of care and hospitality. Nothing about this place was warm and inviting and they offer “Home Care Assistance”... it felt like a false advertisement. There was nothing caring about them. It was just my spouse and me there, so we walked up to a representative by the name of Stephie Ortiz. She was exceedingly condescending, vulgar, disrespectful and discriminatory. We politely inquired about the job fair and she made gestures to her coworker as if what I was asking her was in another language (I was speaking to her in simplified English). I asked her if we could speak to someone in Spanish, she made a face of disgust and said discriminatorily, “No one here speaks that [Spanish]!” I asked my spouse to hand me his phone and I proceeded to tell her that he had received an invitation via voicemail to the event. I then played it for her. She was dumbfounded and tried every which way to dismiss us. I politely asked her if any of her clients needed a Spanish speaking caregiver? She then proceeded to respond with such condescendence and discrimination saying, “I’m sorry but our higher-end clientele are ‘whites,’ we have no need for a Spanish speaking caregiver, but please leave your information if a job opportunity arises for that [Spanish speaking caregiver].” I don’t know what Home Care Assistance’s hiring process is, but miss Stephie Ortiz did sure leave a horrifying impression of your company’s ethics, and conduct. Shameful. You charge clients who pay for your care, hospitality and compassion yet you can’t provide it at an administrative and customer service level. Gabriel Marquez Scott”
