Shannon Cuthrell is a North Carolina-based freelance journalist with a background covering business, startups, technology and economic development. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication journalism, along with two minors in English and psychology. Throughout college, she completed several journalism internships for local newspapers and magazines before launching her career as a full-time freelance writer upon graduating. In her free time, Shannon enjoys road trips, stargazing and making electronic music.
